![]() ![]() The only problem with Navicat is there are no symbols between tables that show their relation. When the database changes, just press F5 and relations change immediately in the ER diagram. A wizard will be open and it will generate the ER Diagram for you OR. The reason is that Workbenchs ER diagram features are meant only for LOGICAL database modeling, and the EER capabilities like specialization and generalization are really part of CONCEPTUAL data modeling. Use the Model menu, Menu Options menu item to set a project-specific default. The default value for this name is fk sourcetabledestinationtable. This name displays on the canvas and is also the name used for the constraint itself. I have a current connection and I ant to see my database tables in a EER diagram like. In the Relationship tab, you can set the caption of a relationship using the Caption field. My teachers want the ER to not have foreign keys, only various relationships between the various entities. I use MySql and the MySql Workbench (v6.3). I have to generate an ERD from my database to a school project. I have used Navicat in the past, and there you can do that. I need to create to visualize some tables relationship in a diagram. Is there a way to just load an EER diagram from an existing database, and then, when the database schema changes, just refresh and see changes, so I don't have to generate the EER diagram for every little change? ![]() The thing is I change the database schema a lot, and to see the relations in MySQL Workbench I must create an EER model every time. And then in MySQL Workbench I must create an EER model from an existing database. ![]() The problem with this approach is that I need to generate database schema using Doctrine CLI. thank you in advance mysql cakephp mysql-workbench reverse-engineering erd Share Improve this question Follow edited at 8:19 Tiny 27. With MySQL Workbench I can view an EER Diagram that shows me how objects are related, and by looking at symbols I can see relations clearly. Which tool to be used to create ER Diagram of database Fields and relations between tables are created in a way cakePHP likes. And through DocBlock Annotations I can express how to relate entities to each other. When using Doctrine ORM, I create classes/objects that are domain objects and can be persisted to a database. To create an EER diagram for the sakila database, first add an EER diagram by double-clicking the Add Diagram icon in the EER Diagrams panel to create and open a new EER Diagram editor. I'm using MySQL Workbench to design my MySQL database and model how entities would look like and how they would relate to each other. In W2 Assignment 2, you used MySQL Workbench to create an Entity-Relationship (ER) diagram for ABC Manufacturings customer relationship management (CRM). ![]()
